Hi,
I have just begun collecting Waterford crystal and my first purchase is a used Lismore decanter. Problem is, the inside of the decanter appears to be marked with some whitish residue in several areas. I can't seem to get right in there to wipe it off. Can you recommend a suitable method to use, please.
I don't want to try something by myself only to damage this beautiful piece of crystal.
Thanks, Richard
Hi Richard,
If this is how it came I strongly suggest you contact the supplier for a replacement. If they reject to replace it for a reason that the grace period has been reachedp etc. try to do this; fill up the decanter with a lukewarm mixture of 50/50 water and windex, keep overnight to resolve. Rinse with lukewarm water and leave upside down on a towel. If the stains come off you are lucky. Sincerely, Engin Arat, Crystal Florida - supplier for Unqiue Collector Glassware-.
